Bomber Crash Memorial

A memorial plaque to four members of the RAF who were killed when a Wellington Bomber crashed in the Village on 19.04.44 has been erected at the picnic area on the playing field, beside the Village Hall. It was unveiled, on 4th June 2012, by Robert Yates, during the Village Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, at a short memorial service led by the Rev. Dr. John Davey. Also in attendance were Cadets representing 2229 (Loughborough) Squadron of the Air Training Corps.
